EU-wide comparison of labour costs and non-wage costs for 2010

Employers in the German private industry paid an average Euro 29.20 per hour worked in 2010. As also reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in a comparison with the other European countries Germany ranked seventh regarding the level of its labour costs after Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
Employers in the German private industry paid 32% more for an hour worked compared to the average in the European Union. However, they paid 12% less than employers in France as a neighbouring country. Denmark recorded the highest labour costs per hour worked (Euro 37.60) and Bulgaria the lowest (Euro 3.10).Lire tout l'article sur le site de l'Office Statistique Fédéral (Destatis) destatis.de
